Pond Dipping at Northward Hill

This was a great chance for we grown-ups to have a go, and we didn’t let ourselves down with not one, but two great diving beetles! Modesty prevents me from saying who caught them both! Thanks to Julie for organising this for us.

Knole Park

Yesterday the group visited Knole Park near Sevenoaks. Redstart and Tree Pipit were the order of the day and some fine broad bodied chasers were seen at this pond. A new member joined our group but she left us when we pointed out that we had left our picnic lunches back in the car park.

Yesterday, at the Kent Wildlife Trust visitor centre at Bough Beech reservoir, we saw hundreds of toads doing what toads do best! If you press the HD button, you can watch it in a higher definition.
