Wednesday is my day for going out walking, and looking at all sorts of nature.   This week we decided to try a survey of nests of Ground Lackey Moth along the marshes near Elmley.   We first identified their existence in the area last year, and wanted to try to see how widespread they were.

Although we were a little later than ideal, we managed to find over 600 nests, many groups had dispersed and there were also more mature specimens around – all good news for the Ground Lackey whilst their habitat remains unchanged.
