It was a nice day when I set from Shoreham car park little did I know it would be a scorcher as I walked towards Otford and back. Leaving the car park I headed towards the Golf course where the path cuts through the fairways and I’m looking “four” that “birdie” the path is sheltered and the birds were scarce : birds spotted — collared dove, blackbird, magpie, goldfinch, wood pigeon, crow, green woodpecker, house martin, common gull, robin, coot, swallow, chaffinch, pheasant and finally a parakeet.
Also seen on the trip was a good selection of butterflies, brimstone, large white, comma, meadow brown, speckled wood and a red admiral. Time approx taken 2 hrs
