Don’t forget to save your stamps this Christmas, bring them along to any of our meetings and we will make sure that they get to the right place. Stamps are collected throughout the year, but the large numbers in circulation at this time of year can really make a difference. Please leave at least 5 cm of envelope around the edge of each stamp.
Stamps raise funds for the RSPB’s Save the Albatross campaign, they raise up to £3.50 per kg for UK stamps and £12.50 per kg for foreign stamps. For example, £50 will buy a tori-line (bird scaring device) for a longline fishing vessel which can prevent the Albatross from being tangled in the fishing lines or caught on the hook.
