I took this picture of gulls loafing on the shingle at Dungeness last week in the hope that I might see among them the Caspian gull that was supposed to be there too. There was no sign of the Caspian in the blown up image. However, Malcolm reckoned he could see the Glaucous gull in the picture. This bird has been hanging out with the other gulls for some time now & can be identified by it’s lack of dark feathers at the tail end. It is a young bird. Can you see it?
