The AGM took place on 9 May and the minutes and a copy of the accounts can be read here
There are some matters arising from the AGM as follows:
a. Annual subscription from 1 January 2013 will increase to £3.00 per person.
b. We will need someone to cast their eyes over the accounts and sign them off as a true and fair record as Maria is stepping down. As auditor it is not necessary to have an accountancy background, but knowledge of how to carry out a trial balance would be useful. But essentially we need someone who is numerate and with good attention to detail. If you are prepared to help and take on this task would you please contact me.
c. Additionally we are also looking for a Secretary to join the committee or in fact anyone who would like to become more involved in the RSPB. Once again please contact me or any other committee member.
d. The 35th Anniversary Dinner will be on the 6th October and if you have not already booked full details and reservation form can be found here.
e. We are trying to contain costs by using e-mail as much as possible for communications – although we will continue to provide hard copy of documents. If you have not signed up to receive news via our automated email service I would urge you to do so – details of how to do this can be found here.
