We need an enthusiastic and conscientious individual to be the leader of the Gravesend Local Group, taking over from Jeff when he steps down at the AGM in May 2013.

You will be working with the help and support of a dedicated and experienced Committee of volunteers, as well as support from staff at the RSPB South East Regional Office.

You do not need any specialist knowledge of birds or wildlife, just an enjoyment of nature and an ability to get on with lots of different people. We are an active group who get together to enjoy talks and field trips.

As part of the role, you will chair Committee meetings at least three times a year, ensuring the effective running of the meetings and of the Group.

This is your chance to help us increase awareness about the RSPB and the importance of conservation in the area. The work can be very enjoyable and you will have the chance to work alongside like-minded and enthusiastic RSPB members and engender an interest in new people to the group as well as to the wider public through events.

If you would like more information, please contact Paul on 01474 332417 or groupleader@rspbgravesend.org.uk or speak to one of the committee members at any of our meetings.
