redshank and frogElmley National Nature Reserve has long been a favourite venue for our group to go bird watching. As you are all probably aware it is not now managed by the RSPB.

However the reserve is open and can be visited. Some of us have already been there several times and the reserve is well worth visiting. Lapwings, redshanks and avocets will be nesting soon. Visiting arrangements have changed so we suggest you visit the Elmley website for updates and also the Friends of Elmley.

Thanks to Chris for the photo (taken at Elmley). It is so good I just had to use it again!
