We get an extra hour this weekend when the clocks go back to Greenwich Meantime – use your extra hour to make a difference by joining us on our Beach Clean at Rainham Marshes RSPB reserve.
The event is being run in partnership with Thames 21, who provide all the equipment, including wellies, gloves and tools. Please wear clothing suitable for the outdoors and weather (which is forecast to be dry, bright and breezy) and most important, your enthusiasm!
As well as collecting the litter, we will be recording what we find as part of Thames 21’s Thames River Watch project. This project enables volunteers to better understand the health of the tidal Thames, and what we can do to make it better.
We start at 9.00 am, when the tide is low and continue until around 1.00pm. Afterwards there is the opportunity for lunch in the cafe or bring a picnic if you prefer. In the afternoon we can walk around this excellent reserve.
Look forward to seeing you there.
