Coach Trip to Welney Wetland Centre on Sunday 8th November 2015

Treat yourself to a day out exploring the unique landscape of Welney Marshes – a vast unspoilt area which is home to many wild ducks, geese, and swans. Hopefully we will see the beautiful Bewick & Whooper Swans that come to Britain in winter and feed alongside our own Mute Swans. There will be Wigeon grazing on the wetland, and Pintail, Gadwall, Teal & Shoveler ducks dabbling in the pools. See them at feeding time, from the comfort of a heated hide, as they clamour to get close to the warden & his wheelbarrow full of corn. The reserve has hides, trails & a visitor centre serving hot & cold food. A great way to spend a November day.
