Don’t forget to save your stamps (leaving a quarter inch border around the stamp).
Bring them along to any of our indoor or outdoor meetings and we will pass them on to the RSPB Albatross Appeal.
The RSPB have been working in partnership with BirdLife International and other partners for ten years helping to save endangered albatross species. The Task Force have developed simple and effective ways to keep birds off the hook, including bird-scaring lines, weighted hook lines and setting fishing gear at night. With these simple techniques the number of albatross killed by the South African trawl fleet has dropped by 99 per cent. The number of other seabirds killed has also reduced significantly.
