Back in February Sue posted a notice asking people to get involved with a survey being sponsored by the Hawk Conservancy.

We volunteered and were given 5 routes to walk across Kent spotting Kestrel, Buzzard and other raptors. The survey is being repeated this autumn and more volunteers will be very welcome. It’s a good excuse to get out into parts of Kent you probably don’t know and explore a range of new habitats. Each route is about 5/6 miles and equipment/training is provided (GPS locator, compass etc). We have had a lot of fun doing it.

If you would like to volunteer please email Matt@hawkconservancy.org
