Our next outdoor meeting takes place this Sunday, 17th March at Blean Woods. Meet at the reserve car park CT2 9DD (TR126592). Woodland birds including tits, treecreepers, nuthatch & woodpeckers. The meeting starts at 10am and will finish around 4pm. Leaders: Claire & Jim

Elmley Again - In Praise of Corn Buntings

As Norman and Sandra commented in their trip report for Elmley, one of the highlights of the trip was seeing and hearing two male corn buntings. Group Trip to Elmley NNR

A slow drive along the two mile entrance track to the Elmley National Nature Reserve car park showed the water levels had been raised since our last visit benefiting the many waders, with lots of lapwing and redshank close to the track.
