Have you discovered the many wildlife related broadcasts that are available on line, some of which have been launched during this lockdown period?
Here are a few that I have found (and that I’m totally hooked on…):-
- Chris Packham and Megan McCubbin’s YouTube broadcast each weekday at 9am from Chris’s home in the New Forest https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t1256WAy930
(a great ‘springwatch’ substitute) - Osprey Webcam from Poole Harbour https://www.birdsofpooleharbour.co.uk/osprey/osprey-webcams/
- From the RSPB Community Blogs (https://community.rspb.org.uk/)
- A guide to moth trapping https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E1Y82tZDBFU
- British Bats – a Q&A session with Chris Dieck https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=217cAiTEOfM
- Steve Backshall’s live Q&A on Wednesdays at 9:30am https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCm-URP49TgSgyIU1rgh2m7A
Check them out and share what other interesting broadcasts you have found.

Thanks Alan and Pauline for your further suggestions. With regard to ‘armchair’ birding – are these equivalent to twitching??
haha – yes, I think we need to exclude webcams from the armchair lists!
